One moment I'm presenting sustainability research in the South of France. The next, I'm writing about beauty, identity and modern life. Honestly, that contrast makes perfect sense to me.
01 — The Short Version
I came to writing through water.
I'm a Kenyan writer and communication strategist. I trained as a water and environmental engineer, then took an MSc in Water and Sustainable Development, and spent years in sustainability and ESG consulting — reading the reports, writing the reports, and watching good work disappear inside bad sentences.
So I started doing the other half of the job. Now I write for brands, founders, organisations and publications that want clarity, personality, emotional intelligence, and communication that actually sounds human.
That gap between technical language and human understanding? That's exactly where I work.

EcoNjia is my own sustainability writing — the place where I test how far plain language can carry a complicated subject before it breaks.

Good writing can sell a product, save a reputation, explain a complex idea, flirt outrageously, launch a movement, or make someone feel seen at 2 a.m.
I do all five. Preferably after drinking two mugs of Earl Grey tea.
I know when to use an em dash responsibly. Which should count for something.
